Causes of Dyslexia

  • Research is still going on about the causes of dyslexia and nothing seems definite
  • It runs in families but that doesn’t necessarily mean that all the children of a parent/ parents with dyslexia will necessarily have it
  • Sometimes 1 of 2 or 3 children may get it, sometimes not.
  • The wiring of the brain has been found to be different for these children.
  • Environmental factors also play a part: intra-uterine development, delivery traumas and early medical problems.
  • It can sometimes be acquired later on in life by falls, head injuries and other traumas.

Success Stories

"I am Harleen Kaur and I am a proud dyslexic. Proud, not sure if I was before I joined Ananya"

People with Dyslexia are visionaries, inventors, and artists. They think differently, see the world differently. It is from this difference that the dyslexic brain derives its brilliance.
